Roach

Roach refers to all insects attached “blattaria”. Being an insect of gradual metamorphosis, a roach’s life includes three phases: egg, nymph and adult. There are about 6,000 species (another stat shows 2,250), mainly living in the wild or inside the rooms in tropical and subtropical area. It is worth mentioning that a beheaded roach can still survive for 9 days, after which it will starve to death.

The hazard of roaches

The surface and the digestive tract of a roach can carry multiple pathogenic micro-organisms, such as shigella dysenteriae, salmonella, staphylococcus, colibacillus, hepatitis virus and parasite ova. When such roaches climb onto food or tableware, these pathogens are likely to be transmitted to human. The secretion, excretion and vomit of roaches can also induce allergy syptoms. Roaches are omnivorous and can cause a great range of harm. As they move around trash, toilets and also eat on the food, they easily transmit intestines diseases and parasite ova. Economic loss is easily caused if the products in the factory, stores or the food at home got bitten or polluted by roaches. Roaches can occasionally cause communication or computer breaking down, which earned them the name of “computer pests” abroad.
